“JOC Workshop 2008” at Tsumagoi Music Garden

140 children and their teachers gathered at Tsumagoi on August 20 through to 22, to this year's JOC workshop, gathering from every corner of the country from Hokkaido to Kyushu. 2008 was the 7th year since this workshop was organized for the purpose of enhancing friendship among JOC students and studying together for progress towards a higher goal. What was new this year was experience of the wind instruments, and students tried hard to make sounds of various instruments which they have never played before. It was a precious opportunity for the JOC students to learn not just to improve their musical ability, but also to enhance cooperation and independence by spending days together away from home.
